Welcome to Neuro Kind Counselling. By accessing or using our website and online services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services.

1. Nature of Services

Neuro Kind Counselling provides online counselling services to clients aged 14 and over. Our focus is on supporting neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ individuals with mental health and well-being challenges, however anyone can access our services. Qualified mental health professionals provide services according to ethical and professional guidelines.

Please note: Our services are not intended for use in emergency situations. If you or someone else is in crisis, please call 000 or Lifeline on 13 11 14.

2. Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

Be 14* or older (parental/guardian consent required for clients under 18). *Those aged under 14 will require discussion prior to booking please email Ash@neurokindcounselling.com for more information.

Reside in Australia

Have access to a private location and reliable internet for sessions.

3. Confidentiality and Privacy

Your confidentiality is important to us. All sessions are conducted in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and professional ethical standards. Your personal information will be stored securely and only accessed by authorised staff.

Limits to confidentiality include:

Risk of harm to yourself or others

Legal obligations (e.g. court orders, mandatory reporting)

Your written consent to share information

4. Session Booking and Cancellation

Sessions are booked online via our secure booking platform.

You may cancel a session with at least 24 hours’ notice or reschedule a session with at least 12 hours’ notice.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

Missed sessions without notice will be charged the full session fee.

5. Fees and Payments

All fees are listed on our website and are subject to change.

Payment is required at the time of booking.

Sessions are conducted via secure video conferencing software (Google Meet, link to meeting will be shared upon booking).

We do not currently offer Medicare rebates or accept insurance funds, however, this will be added as soon as possible.

6. Code of Conduct

Clients are expected to:

Treat Ash (the counsellor) with respect

Attend sessions sober and in a private space.

Use respectful and appropriate language during sessions

Neuro Kind reserves the right to end the therapeutic relationship if a client engages in harmful, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour.

7. Technology Limitations

You acknowledge that online counselling may be affected by technical issues beyond our control (e.g. internet dropouts). If a session is disrupted, we will attempt to reconnect. If reconnection fails, the session will be rescheduled at no extra charge.

8. Disclaimer

While our services provide professional support, we do not guarantee outcomes. Counselling is a collaborative process, and results vary between individuals.

We do not provide diagnoses, medical treatment, or prescribe medication.

9. Changes to Terms

Neuro Kind may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services implies agreement with any changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
